If you're having a seated dinner at your wedding reception, at some point you've got to decide where everyone is going to sit. It can be complicated to get the right groups together and make sure everyone is happy (or at least happy enough to get through the wedding without making a fuss). It really helps to create a visual way to rearrange your guests until you've worked it out just the way you want.
Post-it® Easel Pad or large sheet of paper
Post-it® Arrow Flags in 4 colors
Your guest list (of course)
To get started, draw your table layout on the Easel Pad. If you've got round tables, use a guide like a coffee can or the top of a soup bowl to help you draw circles.
Choose a color for each family involved in the wedding, a color for friends and a color for work or other guests. Write each guest's name on a Post-it® Arrow Flag of the correct color.
The beauty of Arrow Flags is that they can be rearranged as you try to figure out what makes the most sense for your tables. The color categories will help you see who's sitting with whom - sometimes it's good to mix things up, and other times to keep close groups together. Do a rough draft before you bring in any family members, but make sure you give both sets of parents a chance to weigh in. Good luck!
