When students bring current event clippings to class or discuss current events, ask them to use Post-it® Arrow Flags to locate the areas named on a large world map, encouraging them to pinpoint a specific spot.
Also, historical events or journeys (i.e. Lewis & Clark, Magellan's voyage around the world, etc.) can be plotted on a map using different color flags for various stages or significant incidents.
