    Smoosh and Set

The pinwheel will pop up on its own. Just smoosh it down flat when it does. To make the smoosh permanent, take a small dowel or toothpick and tape or glue it to the ridges in the back. Do this again with the second dowel creating an X shape.

Time for the pièce de résistance. You can use string to tie it to the pencil in back, or just glue it on. To make it extra fabulous take a colorful button and place it over the center of the pinwheel. And now you should have a lovely pinwheel to hang in your office or bedroom. Experiment with different patterns, colors, and paper textures. They all look great together!
